Avebe has received three Starch Europe Safety Awards. In 2015, the trade association Starch Europe launched the Safety Awards which recognize the best performing EU starch plants in reducing accidents in the work place.
The company’s production plants in Gasselternijveen, Ter Apelkanaal (both in the Netherlands) and Malmö (Sweden) received the so called Year Award – awarded to plants that show exceptional results on safety. All three factories produce year-round and employ all together approximately 550 people.
The company reports: “Avebe is proud of these Safety Awards. It shows the progress of our focus on safety in the execution of our strategy. Avebe is continuously working on a safe workplace, taking responsibility and addressing each other on behavior.”
